Telecare & Telehealth
Telecare is a lifestyle, allowing patients the convenience of staying independent. The ability to monitor our health is ever expanding; from fitness devices tracking our daily activities, to medical devices which allow for a convenient way to monitor vital signs.
Telehealth addresses the delivery of information to healthcare professionals enabling patients and professionals to communicate and act on the the metrics being collected by telecare devices.
The ability for healthcare providers to interpret and make use of the information being provided is a crucial step for not only curative but also preventative responses. Handling the massive amounts of information and data points becomes increasingly challenging, as technologies need to assist healthcare providers in identifying critical and meaningful data from the vast amounts of data being collected. This further signifies the need for standardization and interoperability of these devices.
